Aaron Keller will be joining KMHA as Technical Director/Coach Coordinator

May. 15, 2019

Kamloops Minor Hockey is pleased to announce that Aaron Keller has been hired as the new Technical Director/Coach Coordinator for the association. Aaron's focus will be the development of KMHA's players through the development of its coaches. Aaron is a former Kamloops Minor Hockey product with an extensive hockey background. He played for 4 seasons in the WHL with the Kamloops Blazers before playing hockey in the IHL with the Chicago Wolves; the ECHL with the Peoria Rivermen; and the AHL with the Baltimore Bandits. Aaron then continued his playing career in Asia, playing in the Japan League with the Sapporo Snow Brand and the Sapporo Polaris and then later for the Oji Eagles in the Asia league. While with the Oji Eagles, Aaron became the assistant coach for the next 3 seasons. Once he returned to Kamloops, he worked with the Kamloops Blazers as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season.

Kamloops Minor Hockey wants to ensure the development of its players. This development should continue with the addition of Aaron as KMHA's Technical Director/Coach Coordinator; Lucas Gore as KMHA's Goaltending Coach; and Nina Hyrcewich and Michelle Pepin providing skating instruction. Having strong coaches and instructors in key development positions should further develop its players and provide a positive hockey experience for everyone involved.
