Team Fees
Once players are placed on teams, there will be additional team fees for items and activities that each team chooses to purchase. These may include tournaments, team events, apparel, and other team-related expenses. Team budgets will vary depending on the age group and level of play, with Rep and U11 Development teams typically having higher team fees.
Recreation team fees are capped at a maximum of $400 per player, per season. All team budgets must be approved by the families on the team, with a minimum 80% approval required.
Jersey Fee
A $100 one time non-refundable fee is collected at the time of registration for all new players to Kamloops Minor Hockey Association.
Rep & U11 Development Tryouts
Tryout fees are due by August 1st.
U11 - $125
U13-U18 - $225
Tryout fees are non-refundable.
Carding Fees / Rep Fees
Players selected to a U11 Development or U13-U18 Rep team will pay an additional fee of $450, due September 30th. This fee is non-refundable.
Rep Tryout Player Commitment
Please note - If a parent signs up a player for tryouts and that player makes a team then decides they do not want to play, they will forfeit their ability to tryout for a Rep hockey team in the following season, except under special circumstances.
All players that are registered for tryouts must have a signed Rep Program Commitment form uploaded to their Team Snap registration to be eligible to participate in tryouts.
KMHA REP PROGRAM, PLAYER COMMITMENT FORM
AA, AAA and Junior Tryout Players:
U15 and U18 players trying out for higher level teams outside of our association are still required to register with us by June 30th if there is a chance that they will be attending our tryouts.
Please indicate at the time of registration your intention to tryout at a higher level.
Fees are not due for players that are trying out for higher level teams until they have been released from the higher level tryouts and it is determined that the player will be participating in our tryouts at which time the fees are due in full.
Female Hockey
Female players have the option to play integrated hockey or female hockey. KMHA plans on having female only teams in all divisions U9 to U18.
The number of females registering for female only teams (both rep and recreation) will determine the number of female only teams that we have.
Female players wishing to try out for the U15 & U18 Female A zone teams must register through OMAHA.

Goaltenders
Players who register as a new goaltender (having never previously played the position) and complete the full 2026–2027 season as a goalie in Recreation, if space permits, will receive a $200 credit toward their 2027–2028 registration fees, provided they register the following season as a goalie. Once your player has been registered as a goalie, please email admin@kamloopsminorhockey.com.
KMHA reserves the right to limit the number of goaltenders within each division.
Players registering in U13 and older who wish to participate as a goaltender must register as a goalie and are required to provide their own goaltending equipment.
Due to the high number of goaltenders in some age groups, acceptance into the position may be based on registration date.
Every effort will be made to accommodate all goaltenders.
Overage U18 Players
U18 will no longer host overage players as KMHA will be piloting a U21 division in the 2025/2026 season. U21 will not host overage players.
Players in the U18 and U21 leagues may apply to the KMHA Executive Director and the KMHA Board under special circumstances.
Carpooling/Team Placement Requests:
Due to the large number of players in our association and the need to try and balance teams, requests to be on a specific team with another player/coach will not be accepted.
