Many assignments are based on availability.  Typically you could expect 1-2 games a weekend but once again if you have limited availability you may or may not get games.

Each level of hockey pays a little more as you work up the ranks.  You get a little extra for working games before 8am and the fee are posted on this site for you to see.

Payroll is done usually the first week of each month starting in October. We strive to have the officials payed for their previous months games by no later than the 7th or 8th of month.  Direct deposit is our preferred method of payment.

In your Spordle Profile you can also see how many games you have to double check when you receive payment.

Kamloops will host one in person clinic for all officials to attend.

All news officials must complete the Hockey Canada University prior to registering for the in-person clinic (Date TBA)

New officials will also need to take part in an on-ice clinic as well.

Most importantly:

• Whistle that goes on your hand!
• Black Helmet and half visor
• black pants (no logos)
• referee sweater

Optional items include:

• protective cup
• shin pads
• elbow pads
